An interview with UK therapist, Francesca Glenn
Service Description
Thursday 29th January 7.00-8.30pm - This is a FREE session open to members and non members. Not only is Francesca Glenn a registered IFS therapist, but she has been in training with Richard Erskine for over 30 years. This conversation will cover: What are the core principles of IFS and how does it add to or differ from Transactional Analysis concepts? She will be sharing how she uses IFS and we will then open up the session to discussion and questions. Francesca Glenn has over 30 years’ experience in adult mental health across the NHS and the voluntary sector, with a particular focus on working with hard-to-reach communities, including mothers and children affected by sexual violence. She is a trauma-focused psychotherapist and holds certifications as a Relational Psychotherapist, Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist, and is an Accredited EMDR Practitioner. Francesca integrates evidence-based modalities in her work, offering specialist treatment programmes for individuals with developmental trauma and Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD). For 15 years, Francesca led Perinatal Mental Health programmes, supporting women experiencing birth trauma and postnatal depression. She continues to offer infant-led psychotherapy and attachment-based parent education through charitable organisations, as well as in private practice and online. Francesca provides training and clinical supervision to therapists and psychologists internationally. She serves on the boards of several charities in training and supervisory roles. She is a trainer with the International Integrative Psychotherapy Association (IIPA) and is a board member of the Commission Standards Committee (CSC), where she also contributes as an evaluator. She lives in Hebden bridge, West Yorkshire.
