“Born To Win” by Muriel James and Dorothy Jongeward. So that will be the book we will be reading in August, after Steiner’s “Scripts people Live”. It was as big a best-seller as the other TA book that followed on after “Games People Play”, namely “I’m OK, You’re OK” by Thomas Harris. Gerry's Personal note: I can still vividly remember Muriel James coming to sit next to this newly qualified CTA student sitting all alone at breakfast at a conference in the UK (in the 1990’s). In particular I remember her causing me indigestion as she recounted Eric’s outrageous attempts to ‘pick her up’ way back in the 60’s. I was doubly thrilled to meet her as her self-reparenting model had been the theoretical basis of my written CTA exam and has, frankly, stayed with me over the last thirty years as one of the most empowering of all TA interventions I still use with my clients.
