Are you looking for a way to deepen your understanding of Transactional Analysis—without needing to “have it all together” first? Would you like to connect with other TA students and practitioners from all over New Zealand, everyone at different levels of training and experience? Would you like the opportunity to facilitate a training session under supervision?

TA Lab is our new monthly experiential space designed to bring members together to explore TA in a way that is both thoughtful and real. Although we will still provide our more traditional webinars when offered, for now, each of our new TA Lab sessions will include a 10-15 min presentation of theory, followed by shared reflection, discussion, and personal exploration.
It’s not a webinar, not a workshop, and not a traditional discussion group—it’s a place where ideas are tested, experienced, and brought to life together. Above all, it is a safe place where you can meet your fellow students and colleagues to share thoughts and experiences of transactional analysis.
Whether you are just beginning your TA journey or have been practising for a lifetime, you are welcome here. You don’t need to be an expert to contribute—your perspective, questions, and lived experience are exactly what make this space valuable.
What’s on offer:
Monthly TA Lab sessions (only available to TAAANZ members)
A supportive environment to think, reflect, and grow together
Opportunities to develop facilitation skills - you can present
2 hours of (free) supervision for those who facilitate sessions
Sessions that may contribute toward your CPD or training hours
This shift emerged from the THREE great meetings we have already had where a short presentation or interview was followed by vibrant and thought-provoking discussions on:
1 Internal Family Systems (Feb)
2. Berne’s 8 Therapeutic Operation (March)
3. Intimacy & TA (April)
As part of our revival of New Zealand’s once-vibrant TA community, we now have two online connection points every 4-6 weeks that are FREE to all members of the association.
The aim is to provide a continuous connection point throughout the year, a nexus, for all our members to stay connected in between the bigger conference / training / residential events that happen more rarely.
These two regular gatherings alone, amount to over $1,000 worth of FREE training and CPD and for some, supervision for all our members as part of your TAAANZ membership fee.
WHO ARE THESE EVENTS FOR?
If you are a TSTA then here is a chance to stay connected with our community and share your insights and wisdom. Your presence and generosity would be totally appreciated by everyone present.
If you are a PTSTA then here is a FREE chance to build up your knowledge and experience and even get free supervision hours from myself or other TSTAs present.
If you are a CTA then here is an excellent FREE chance to both network and fulfil your CPD obligations as well as sharing your thoughts and experiences with the group.
If you are a TA student then here is an excellent and FREE opportunity to join in, network and share your thoughts and questions with a wide range of differently experienced therapists.
If you are simply interested in TA then here is wonderful and FREE opportunity to rub shoulders with a wide range of fellow TA-ers, share your thoughts and get any questions answered.
Wherever you are on your TA journey, come along to our new-style (and much more chatty) monthly TA LAB as well as our 6-weekly TA BOOKCLUB. Everyone is welcome, even if you have not read the books or know anything about the topic - sometimes we need to hear others talking about a topic or a book to inspire us to explore further.
Make these your regular friendly TA community touch points.
