The Psychology of apology: developmental and legal perspectives
Service Description
5.00pm-7.00pm Friday 7 November IZUMI KADOMOTO, TSTA-P, (JPN) THE WORKSHOP: Apologizing is a social and cultural behavior. Children are taught what it is and when it is needed by parents and teachers. And we know we use it to maintain trust and intimacy or continue playing games in life. This fact states that apology can be an important theme in psychology dealing with guilt feeling, reflective cognitive ability and attachment style. This workshop will explore how we learn and assimilate “apology”, then offer some space to discuss about the values of apology in TA perspective. FIELDS: all BIO: Izumi Kadomoto, TSTA-P, PhD, Professor, Taisho University, Japan. Since her first TA101 experience in 1989, Izumi has been working in clinical field with Transactional Analysis.
